Oxana Lebedew was born on the 25.03.1987 in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan. Her origin is russian with german and ukranian ancestors. Her mother, a ballet choreographer, introduced her to the world of Ballet. Oxanas father was a Sport Gymnastics Coach. Oxana visited the classes of her parents but nothing made her heart beat faster as Latinamerican and Ballroom Dancing, which she started to learn in the age of 7.
Becoming a Champion of Kazakhstan and achieving successful results in Juniors I at the German Open Championships in Mannheim, Lebedew fell in love with the International Dance Culture after experiencing the fantastic performances of Dancing Stars at the historical event in South Germany.
1999 Oxanas family moved to Berlin, Germany.
While searching for a partner and pursuing her dream to become a legendary dancer young Oxana was attending ballet classes at Vladimir Gelvans Ballettschule and she discovered her passion for flamenco, which she learned from Ari La Chispa, a charismatic spanish Flamenco Dancer.
In 2001 Oxana was delighted to perform on stage of Deutsche Oper dancing a part of a dragon-fly in Coppelia Ballet.
